360 Excavator Operator (20-30T) - Drainage WorksWe are recruiting experienced 360 Excavator Operators to support upcoming drainage works on two major infrastructure schemes.Works are due to commence from w/c 8 June 2026, with additional gangs mobilising through late July 2026.Role OverviewYou will be working as part of an experienced drainage gang delivering carrier and filter drainage on large-scale highways projects. The role requires strong machine control, a good understanding of drainage works, and close coordination with pipelayers and supervisors.Typical Gang Structure1 x Grey Hat Supervisor (FLS / Foreman)1 x Experienced Pipelayer (Confined Spaces trained)2 x Excavator Operators (20-30T tracked machines - your role)1 x General OperativeScope of WorksExcavation and backfill for drainage installationsMajority of works less than 2.0m depthSome carrier drainage works up to 3.0m depthWorking in live highways / infrastructure environmentsClose working alongside pipelayers to achieve levels and tolerancesRequirementsProven experience operating 20-30T tracked excavatorsStrong background in drainage or civils worksCompetent digging to tight tolerances around servicesValid CPCS or NPORS card (with CSCS logo)Good awareness of health and safety in deep excavationsAbility to work effectively as part of a drainage gangLocations: Based in Ipswich - accommodation will be provided for those not living locally ..... full job details .....
