      <description>Location: Hertford | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Contract | Rubicon Consulting- is currently recruiting for  2x Quantity Surveyors  on a  6 month rolling contract  based in  Buckinghamshire.    Role Summary   Two contract Quantity Surveyors are needed for a major National Grid substation extension. The project adds new bays and supergrid transformers to an existing 400kV substation and includes a new 132kV GIS building on the same site.  The contract is NEC4 Option C, and you''ll be on the contractor side. Your day to day will cover compensation events, Defined Cost, cost forecasting and monthly reporting, plus valuations and payments across the civils and electrical subcontract packages. You''ll work closely with the project team on site and help keep the cost records in good shape for client audit.   Requirements     Solid contractor-side experience on NEC3 or NEC4, ideally Option C.   A good grasp of the full CE process, early warnings and cost reporting.   Experience running subcontract valuations and payment notices.   Substation experience from 132kv to 400kv   Substation, transmission or power infrastructure experience will put you ahead.
