2nd Line WAN Network Support Engineer - SC Cleared - ContractLocation: BirminghamWorking Pattern: 4 days on (12hr shifts – 7am – 7pm), 4 days off, 4 nights on (12hr shifts – 7pm – 7am), 4 nights offContracted Rate: £300 per day inside IR35Mandatory: eligibility for SC Clearance, British nationalityResponsibilities
Provide technical network support and manage the Customer Network WAN estate.Handle escalations and work on project implementations.Offer guidance and support to 1st line engineers.Collaborate closely with 3rd line engineers to share knowledge and enhance the skills of the 2nd line team.Required Skills and Qualifications
Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Juniper network devices.Proficient in configuring key network components such as BGP, IPSEC, and MPLS.Hands-on experience with various SRX and MX platforms, along with strong CLI expertise.Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols.In-depth knowledge of BGP, including policy-based routing, attribute manipulation, load-balancing techniques, and advanced troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in troubleshooting IPsec VPNs and MPLS networks.Good understanding of PKI infrastructure and experience with certificate-based VPN authentication.Note: 3rd Line WAN Support Engineer contract also available.
