2nd Line IT Support Engineer

to join our technical team. This role will suit someone with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and a proven track record supporting a variety of IT systems in an MSP or multi-client environment.The RoleAs a

2nd Line Support Engineer , you will be responsible for resolving escalated technical issues, assisting with project work, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to our clients. You will work with a wide range of technologies, supporting everything from desktops and servers to cloud platforms and network infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 2nd line technical support for clients via phone, remote tools, and on-site visitsTroubleshoot and resolve escalated IT issues from the 1st line support teamSupport Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure servicesConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot networking equipment (switches, firewalls, routers, VPNs, Wi-Fi)Assist with IT infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, and new deploymentsMaintain accurate documentation for client systems and service activitiesWork closely with colleagues and third-party vendors to ensure issues are resolved promptlyDeliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical usersWhat You’ll Bring2+ years’ experience in an IT support role (preferably in an MSP environment)Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Active DirectoryUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs)Experience with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure)Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work methodically under pressureStrong communication skills and a customer-focused approachFull UK driving licence (occasional client site visits required)What’s on OfferSalary up to £35,000 (DOE)Varied and challenging role with exposure to a wide range of technologiesSupportive team environment with opportunities for training and career growthFlexible working mix of office, remote, and client site workChance to work with diverse clients and industry sectorsIf you’re a skilled
