12 month fixed term contract Finance Assistant role Your new company Company based near Southmead in Bristol Your new roleThis business are looking for a Finance Administrator for a 12 month contract. Reporting to our Senior Accountant and Assistant Accountant the role involves working closely with the Finance Assistant Team (Sales and Purchase Ledger). This role is to support the continued delivery of an effective financial accounting service and day-to-day operations of the finance function to the business during the design and implementation of the new Finance System due to go live in April 2026.Key responsibilities:This person will be responsible for Sales and Purchase ledger activities including but not limited to:Coding and VAT rates (accounting review)Aged debtors/creditors review,Supplier and Rent statement reconciliation,Bank ReconciliationInvestigating purchase and invoice queries,Preparing BACS paymentCredit card processingJournal postingManaging accounts in email boxLiaising with suppliers and customersPurchase order processingWhat you''ll need to succeed Able to start immediatelyAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customersFlexible approach to workHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailHighly organised, proactive and able to work on own initiativeStrong team player, willing to assist other team membersExperience in a finance background, ideally 1 year minimumWhat you''ll get in return Flexible working options available. ..... full job details .....
