Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them re-engage with education?Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for compassionate and flexible 1:1 Tutors to support children aged 5-16 in alternative provisions across North Yorkshire through personalised tuition.The role is contracted for a full academic year, whilst giving you the flexibility to choose how many hours you wish to work per day, ranging from 2-6 hours.The RoleAs a Tutor, you will provide tailored educational support to young people in care, many of whom may have experienced interruptions to their schooling. Your role will focus on helping students rebuild confidence in learning and achieve their individual educational goals.Key responsibilities include:Delivering individualised tuition sessions, primarily in English and Maths, either face-to-face or onlineDesigning and adapting lesson plans to meet individual needs, including EHCP and PEP targetsEncouraging engagement, confidence and motivation through supportive teaching approachesWorking closely with Virtual Schools, carers, social workers and education settings to ensure joined-up supportMonitoring and recording student progress and contributing to ongoing educational planningThe Ideal CandidateWe are keen to hear from individuals who:Have experience teaching, tutoring or supporting vulnerable young people, particularly those in care or with SEMH needsUnderstand the unique challenges faced by children in the care systemCan adapt their ..... full job details .....
