Your new companyDesian Education are proud to be supporting a two-form entry primary school in St Helens that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint an experience and reliable teaching assistant for a 1:1 position within a reception class.This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with an outstanding reputation on a full-time temporary basis.Your new roleAs a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an experienced and supportive cohort, working in collaboration with a Year 1 class teacher to promote the engagement and focus of pupils by utilising an array of learning equipment and building strong constructive relationships. Your main responsibility will be to support a high function ASD pupil on a 1:1 basis. This pupil is and extremely outgoing and bright individual but due to an additional PDA diagnosis they can become dysregulated and disengaged with learning.
