THE ROLE - 1:1 Teaching Assistant

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a mainstream primary setting. The child may be non-verbal, so experience using alternative communication methods such as PECS or visual aids will be highly beneficial. You will play a key role in supporting the child''s engagement with learning activities and working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress. A background in nursery settings or supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
