1:1 Teaching Assistant

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff to support a pupil''s academic, social, and emotional development. You will provide tailored support to help the pupil engage with learning, develop independence, and feel supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to a pupil during lessons and activities.

• Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation.

• Adapt activities to meet the pupil''s individual needs.

• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents.

• Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and well-being are prioritised at all times.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.

• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to follow support plans and work as part of a team.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
