1:1 Teaching Assistant

PK Education is recruiting a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 7 student with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in a young person’s education, confidence and overall well-being.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 7 student with SEMH needs

• Support the student in class, helping them access learning and engage with lessons

• Assist in developing strategies to manage anxiety and promote positive behaviour

• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and parents to ensure consistent support

• Promote independence, confidence and social skills in a safe and structured environment

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or similar needs in a school setting

• Patience, empathy and strong communication skills

• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the student’s needs

• Confidence managing challenging situations calmly and safely

• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
