We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our primary school in Chesham, starting September 2025. This long-term contract role involves providing personalised support to children with EHCPs, ensuring they receive the focused attention and guidance necessary to succeed academically.
About the Role:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a comparable educational support role is preferred
- Genuine passion for education and supporting students with additional needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and open to learning
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Commitment to maintaining high expectations for all students
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families
The ideal candidate will:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics required
- Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are desirable but not mandatory
- Holding a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification is preferred
