1:1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Primary Prep School (SW12)September start date We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a primary prep school setting in SW12.Role OverviewThis role involves providing tailored, individual support to a pupil with ADHD and ASD who is currently finding it challenging to access the curriculum. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the child re-engage with learning and build confidence in the classroom.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school dayAdapt tasks and teaching approaches to meet the pupil''s needsSupport the pupil''s focus, engagement, and emotional regulationWork closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement support strategiesHelp the pupil gradually increase their participation and time in schoolPupil NeedsDiagnosed ADHD and ASDCurrently on a reduced timetable (10:00am - 1:00pm), with the aim of increasing this over timeRequires support with attention, transitions, and accessing learningIdeal CandidateExperience working with children with SEN (especially ADHD and ASD)Calm, patient, and proactive approachAbility to build strong, trusting relationshipsFlexible and resilient, with a positive attitudeBackground in education, psychology, or similar (desirable but not essential)Must have Enhaced DBS Working HoursInitially 10:00am - 1:00pm, with potential to increase as the pupil''s timetable expandsPlease email ..... full job details .....
