SEND Learning Support Assistant - 1:1 Home-Based SupportLocation: Wokingham, BerkshireStart Date: ASAPHours: 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday (mornings only)Contract: Part-time, ongoingQuantum Scholars is seeking a caring, patient, and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in their home.The child has a Visual Impairment and Autism and is also learning English as an additional language. Having been out of education for some time, the primary aim of this role is to help them rebuild confidence, develop basic English and life skills, and prepare for a future placement within an SEND school setting.This is a nurturing, relationship-focused role where consistency, patience, and understanding are essential. The successful candidate will be able to create a calm and supportive learning environment, using simple, engaging activities to support communication, routine, independence, and overall engagement.The role will involve:Providing 1:1 support in the child''s home for 2 hours each morningSupporting the development of basic English language skills, including speaking, listening, vocabulary, and simple written workDelivering life skills and independence-focused activitiesHelping the child build confidence, establish routines, and develop readiness for schoolAdapting activities to meet the needs of a child with Autism and a Visual ImpairmentWorking in a calm, patient, and encouraging mannerLiaising with Quantum Scholars and other relevant ..... full job details .....
