The successful tutor will have strong English subject knowledge and experience supporting children and young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs. You will be confident adapting your teaching style, pace, resources and explanations to meet individual needs, while helping the learner build confidence and make positive academic progress. Experience supporting learners who have barriers to accessing mainstream education, including those accessing EOTAS or Alternative Provision, would be highly desirable. Experience supporting anxiety, school avoidance, disengagement or challenging behaviour would also be beneficial.
