English SEND Tutor - LeominsterLocation: Leominster, HerefordshireSubject: EnglishPhase: Primary / Secondary / SENDWorking Arrangement: In-personQuantum Scholars are looking for a patient, supportive and experienced English SEND Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support to a young person in Leominster.The successful tutor will have strong English subject knowledge and experience supporting children and young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs. You will be confident adapting your teaching style, pace, resources and explanations to meet individual needs, while helping the learner build confidence and make positive academic progress.Experience supporting learners who have barriers to accessing mainstream education, including those accessing EOTAS or Alternative Provision, would be highly desirable. Experience supporting anxiety, school avoidance, disengagement or challenging behaviour would also be beneficial.The ability to create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment will be essential.This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.The role may involve:Providing personalised one-to-one English tuition to a young person with SEND.Supporting learners across the primary or secondary English curriculum, depending on experience.Supporting English Language and/or English Literature at secondary level where appropriate.Developing skills in reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, grammar and communication.Adapting lessons, resources and ..... full job details .....
