1:1 SEND and Behaviour Support AssistantNorth Manchester Year 6 Full-Time and Long-Term Opportunity Aspire PeopleAspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant or Behaviour Support Assistant to support two Year 6 pupils at a partnered primary school in North Manchester.The role will involve working with both pupils on a 1:1 basis, with the school day divided between them. Each pupil has different needs, so the successful candidate will need to be flexible, observant, and confident adapting their support style.This position would suit someone who is passionate about SEND, behaviour support, and helping children develop the skills they need to succeed both academically and emotionally.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for: Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day Helping pupils regulate their emotions and manage frustration Supporting classroom engagement and access to learning Encouraging positive behaviour and appropriate boundaries Supporting pupils with routines, transitions, and expectations Developing pupils'' confidence, independence, and social skills Helping pupils build positive relationships with adults and peers Communicating effectively with teachers and school staff Maintaining a consistent and nurturing approachAbout the PupilsOne pupil can experience challenging behaviour, including leaving the classroom and struggling to remain engaged.
