1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Garstang September Start Full-Time Term Time Only Competitive Rate of PayAre you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs?We are currently recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Garstang from September. This rewarding role will involve providing dedicated support to a pupil within Key Stage 2, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.The RoleAs a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:Provide tailored one-to-one support to a pupil with additional learning needs.Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external agencies where required.Support the pupil academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school day.Implement individual learning and behavioural strategies.Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.Monitor progress and contribute to reviews of support plans.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have: Previous Key Stage 2 experience (essential) Experience supporting children with SEN Strong communication and relationship-building skills A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach The ability to adapt learning support to meet individual needs An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)What the School OffersA welcoming and inclusive school environmentSupportive leadership and experienced SEN ..... full job details .....
