1:1 SEN Teaching AssistantWest Drayton Full-Time September 2026 Start Full Academic Year 95- 105 per day PAYE (depending on experience and qualifications) Equivalent to approximately 120 per day umbrellaA 2-form entry primary school in West Drayton is seeking an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties who will be new to the school. The role will involve helping the child settle into their new environment, build relationships, access learning, and develop confidence and independence within a mainstream classroom.This is an important role for a candidate who is patient, consistent, and able to build a strong relationship with a child who will require additional support as they transition into a new school setting.The RoleThe successful candidate will:Provide dedicated 1:1 support within a mainstream classroomSupport a child with ASD and learning difficultiesHelp the child settle into school routines and their new environmentBuild a positive and trusting relationship with the pupilSupport access to learning and classroom activitiesUse appropriate strategies to support communication, engagement, and emotional regulationEncourage independence and participation wherever possibleWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support teamFollow and contribute to individual support strategies where ..... full job details .....
