Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: GloucesterJob Type: Full-Time, Long Term (5 days a week), Day to Day SupplyPay Rate: 95 - 110 per dayJob Overview:Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary schools in Gloucester. The successful candidates will provide dedicated one-to-one support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access lessons, develop independence and remain engaged throughout the school day.Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated one-to-one support to an individual pupil. Support access to classroom learning and activities. Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour. Help pupils develop confidence and independence. Follow individual education and support plans. Work closely with teachers and SEN staff. Support pupils during lessons, break times and other school activities. Maintain safeguarding and professional standards.Requirements: Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is required. Experience providing one-to-one support is highly desirable. Calm, patient and empathetic approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to support challenging behaviour where required. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
