The Opportunity:
We are seeking a caring, proactive, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Key Stage 2 with sensory processing difficulties. This full-time role begins in September 2025 and is ideal for someone passionate about inclusive education with an understanding of how sensory needs affect learning and behaviour.

Your Role:
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a pupilandrsquo;s daily school experience. The child may struggle with sensory input, transitions, focus, and emotional regulation. Youandrsquo;ll offer calm, structured, and personalised support throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the child with transitions, engagement, and regulation throughout the school day
- Implement sensory strategies and calming techniques
- Adapt classroom resources to meet the childandrsquo;s sensory needs
- Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo, and external professionals
- Foster a safe and structured environment during class and unstructured times (break/lunch)
- Use visual supports and sensory tools to reduce anxiety and aid communication
- Keep clear and consistent records of the childandrsquo;s progress and development

- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) is preferred
Key Details:
- Full-time (Monday to Friday), term time only
- Hours: 8:30am andndash; 3:30pm
- Daily rate: andpound;85 andndash; andpound;100 (depending on experience)
- Temp-to-perm pathway available
- Enhanced DBS clearance required (or willingness to obtain one)
