1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Mornings Only

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a secondary-aged pupil at a specialist school in Ormskirk.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for morning-only hours who has experience supporting pupils with additional needs and can build a positive, trusting relationship with a young person.

• Supporting one secondary-aged pupil on a 1:1 basis
• Providing tailored support throughout the morning
• Helping the pupil engage with learning and school routines
• Supporting emotional regulation, confidence and positive behaviour
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider SEN team
• Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of the pupil

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Experience working on a 1:1 basis would be highly beneficial
• Someone patient, calm and consistent
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• The ability to build positive relationships and provide reassurance
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
