1:1 Reception SEND Support

Are you passionate about helping young children thrive in their early years? We''re looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to support a Reception-aged pupil at a primary school in Fawdon. About the Role: This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised support to a Reception pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop key social and emotional skills throughout the school day. What You''ll Be Doing: Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with SEND. Supporting the pupil''s engagement in classroom activities and routines. Encouraging communication, independence and positive interactions. Working closely with the class teacher and wider support staff. Helping create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Who We''re Looking For Someone who is patient, caring and committed to supporting children''s development. Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable. A strong understanding of the importance of inclusion and personalised support. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
