Building a positive, trusting and professional relationship with the pupil. Developing a strong understanding of the child''s individual needs, communication methods and preferences. Understanding the child''s triggers, behaviours and responses and knowing how to support them appropriately. Supporting the pupil''s learning, development and engagement in school activities.
