Job Title: 1:1 Tutor - SEMH and SLCN and Learning through Play Location: Staines (Home-based) Salary: 25 - 27 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: 10 hours per weekAbout the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, patient and creative 1:1 Tutor to support a Reception-aged pupil in a home setting in Staines.The pupil has Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and a diagnosis of ASD. The pupil is currently pre-verbal, so this role requires a strong focus on communication development through play-based and sensory-led approaches.This role is ideal for someone who believes in learning through play, relationship-based practice, and nurturing approaches. You will deliver personalised sessions tailored to the pupil''s individual needs, focusing on engagement, early communication and emotional regulation.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver bespoke 1:1 sessions tailored to SEMH and SLCN needsUse play-based, sensory and creative learning strategiesSupport early communication development (including non-verbal communication)Build a strong, trusting relationship to support engagementSupport emotional regulation and positive behaviourAdapt activities to meet the pupil''s individual needs and interestsWork closely with parents and external professionalsTrack and report on progressThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Experience working with Early Years or Reception-aged childrenExperience supporting children with ASD and/or SLCNUnderstanding of ..... full job details .....
