In-Person Tutor - Full-Time Support for Non-Verbal Student with ASD (RH1, School-Based)

Are you a compassionate and patient educator with experience in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?
We''re seeking a dedicated full-time tutor to work in-person with a 7-year-old student based in school in RH1. The student is non-verbal, working significantly below age expectations, and currently at an Early Years learning level. Your role will be to provide consistent, nurturing support that uses play-based and therapeutic approaches to help them engage, progress, and feel safe in their learning environment.
What the Role Involves:
Deliver 1:1 support throughout the school day (9:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday).
Use play therapy techniques and creative, individualised strategies to encourage communication and engagement.
Support the student''s development across Early Years learning, adapting activities to their unique needs.
Work closely with school staff and parents to ensure consistency and celebrate progress.
Foster trust, emotional security, and positive learning experiences every day.
Who We''re Looking For:
Experience supporting children with ASD, preferably non-verbal learners.
Knowledge of play therapy and child-centred approaches to learning.
Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting children working significantly below age-related expectations.
Strong communication skills for liaising with staff and parents.
A proactive and flexible approach to working within a school setting.
