This is a challenging but rewarding position supporting a young person with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs and significant previous trauma . We''re looking for someone calm, resilient and confident who can build a positive and consistent relationship while maintaining clear professional boundaries. Previous experience within SEMH, PRU, Alternative Provision, youth work, residential care, secure settings or other complex behavioural environments is essential . You will need to be confident supporting challenging behaviour, using trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation strategies, recognising triggers and following individual safeguarding and risk-management plans. Team Teach, MAPA or equivalent positive-handling training is desirable but not essential.
