The types of machines you will be working on a day to day basis will be large industrial machines such as die-presses, vacuum/arc furnaces, plasma welders, machine shop including lathes/millers/turners as well as other machinery associated with the heavy industry. The Plant Engineer is responsible for the Plant Availability, reliability and effectiveness of plant. This includes recognising future improvements and Maintenance requirements and the day to day reliability of aspects of equipment.
