This role involves working with sheet metals, including bending, shaping, and forming processes, to produce high-quality aerospace components.What will I be doing?Interpreting engineering drawings, repair schemes, and manufacturing procedures.Performing hand/machine-aided forming techniques to create components.Operating machinery such as stretch forming machines and rolling machines.Fabricating metal components using techniques like bending, cutting, shrinking, and stretching.Completing route cards for traceability and complying with EHS and COSHH regulations. What do I need to succeed?You have a relevant NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering. You''ll also have:Expertise in TIG welding, particularly with aluminum alloys.Certification equivalent to BCAR A8-10 or relevant aerospace standards.Proven ability to interpret engineering documents and evaluate components.BPSS clearance required and adherence to ITAR restrictions.
