To be a great supply teacher in secondary you will need to be flexible to the needs of the school. Whilst a school can take into account specialisms, there will often be elements of teaching various subjects, so being open to deliver lessons based on the timetables will be key. With supply work you can flex up or down depending on the amount of work you want. Whilst access to a car would be desirable, use of public transport is fine, as long as you are happy to spend some time commuting i.e 45 mins.
