Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Defence) - Contract (Ongoing) £65- 75 per hour (DOE) - Inside IR35 Glasgow - Hybrid Our client are an international engineering consultancy with some excellent opportunities in the Defence industry for a Principal Electrical Engineer on a contract basis. The Principal Electrical Design Engineer will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within, supporting operations and future programs at client sites.Responsibilities Manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents. Handle design changes/concessions. Present Design substantiations to safety committees. Develop EIMT Schedule, procedures, and results. Produce Periodic Review of Safety reports. Advise internal and external stakeholders. Conduct Independent Technical Review. Apply engineering knowledge to nuclear/high-risk environments. Justify civil/structural design modifications. Review reports and safety submissions. Check and review calculations and technical documents. Key Experience/QualificationsKnowledge of current design standards and practices, including British and European Standards. Theoretical and practical skills across concept, detailed design, and construction stages for electrical engineering projects. Experience in assessing electrical plant and equipment for hazards.
