Working under the supervision of registered nurses to deliver a high standard of inpatient care in partnership with the wider clinical team, the service users and their family members/carers. To support the named nurse/primary nurse in the assessment of needs for a group of patients and deliver their care under supervision. To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24-hour period. To be an active participant in the multi-disciplinary team, assisting in the formulating of care plans and utilising skills to inform patient assessments and evaluations. To contribute to the information recorded on the patient information system by reporting to nursing staff on patient s presentations throughout the shift. Under the supervision of the registered nurses, to undertake assessments of individuals and their families and carers as appropriate admitted to inpatient care, including service users presenting with high risk.
