Class 1 HGV Driver

We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based near East Midlands Airport. As a Class 1 driver you will be working for a well-known brand to help their trunking operations across the UK. This opportunity will provide drivers with regular work once you have completed the vetting process providing UK air side clearance.

Class 1 Drivers will need the following:
A valid HGV class 1 driving license
In date Tacho and CPC cards
No more than 6 points (No TT, IN, DD or DR codes)
Have held your Class 1 license for a minimum of 12 months and have at least 6 months driving experience for insurance purposes.

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will need to be able to work the following shift patterns:
4 days out of 7 (This will include weekends)
5 days out of 7 (This will include weekends)
You will know your work rota roughly a week prior

Most shift start times will start in the PM and drivers will be expected to sleep out 1 night per week. However, flexibility will be required where necessary to support site requirements.

Class 1 HGV Drivers will receive:
Monday to Friday 0800 - 1900 £17.89 per hour
Monday to Friday 1900 - 0800 £20.54 per hour
Saturday 0800 - 1900 £19.04 per hour
Saturday 1900 - 0800 £21.69 per hour
Sunday 0800 - 1900 £20.04 per hour
Sunday 1900 to 0800 £22.69 per hour
Overtime weekly after 40 hours is £26.84 per hour

Please note that drivers will need to have 5 years work history vetted and successfully pass a DBS and CO course.
