Job Summary: Reporting to the contracts manager , the commercial lead is responsible for overseeing commercial and QS aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing contracts, monitoring costs, analysing risk, and ensuring profitability while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The succesful candidate will work closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the successful commercial performance of projects. Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: Negiotiate, draft, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Administer contracts to ensure timely resolution of disputes and claims, including variations and change orders. Financial Planning and Cost Control: Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and financial forecasts. Develop cost-saving strategies and ensure projects are delivered within budget and aligned with financial targets. Approve project expenditures, including procurement of materials, labor costs, and subcontractor fees. Produce regular financial reports, including cost analysis and profit margin reports, for senior management.
