Immediate start available Your pay rate as a Chef/Cook:You will be paid 12.53 per hour Shifts available:Day Shift 6:30 - 12:30 Afternoon Shift 12:30 - 6:30Your duties include:You will be responsible for cooking food in the hospital kitchen making sure all patients and staff have highly nutritious, high-quality food. You''ll work with the catering manager to make sure that food and drink is nutritious and appetising. The food must meet patients'' needs.Additional duties as a Chef/Cook will include:Planning meals and menusPreparing food, using various kitchen equipmentStoring food correctlyMaking sure as little as possible is wastedWorking as a part of the catering teamMaking sure that meal choices reflect the preferences and dietary requirementsSupervising kitchen assistantsOur ideal candidate as a Chef/Cook:Interested in food and cookingWilling to work in hot, noisy conditionsPhysically fit for standing, moving and liftingFlexible and adaptableKeen to provide good customer serviceAdditional necessities as a Chef/Cook:Awareness of food hygiene and food safetyTeam working skillsOrganisational skillsLevel 2 - 3 Food Safety Certificate required.NVQ 2 chef in a kitchen preferableAll candidates are subject to DBS check.Candidates are expected to work up to 28 hours p/w between Monday and Sunday, with potential overtime on rotation.
