Network andamp; Server EngineerPermanent - Full-Time£40,000.00 Annual Salary + BenefitsBrixworth, Northamptonshire2-3 days on-site per week in BrixworthMy award-winning, smart technology, software solution client has a great opportunity to join their customer centric organisation as a Network andamp; Support Engineer.This role requires a a Network andamp; Server Engineer with around 2-3 years+ experience operating at 2nd - 3rd line level with hands-on FortiGate Firewall, Cisco and Linux Server experience.Role Description: Participate in network installations and projects; including Firewalls, Switches and other network communications.Maximize network performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and monitoring performance.Deliver proactive and early notification of potential and actual issues impacting service delivery.Provide frequent communication to leadership during and post incident to include root cause and corrective action plans.Maintain and manage Linux andamp; Windows server infrastructure environment, cloud and on-premise. Assist with advanced level maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, and integrity checks.Use data collected from a variety of management tools (Bitdefender, network access control) to analyse events for the purposes of mitigating threats.Serve as an escalation point for any unresolved issues or requests.
