Are you a skilled CAD Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to work on diverse civil engineering projects£ We are recruiting on behalf of a leading consultancy that delivers high-quality solutions across highways, drainage, and infrastructure.

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Technician or Senior Technician to develop their career within a motivated and collaborative team. The role will be hands-on, covering highways, drainage, and infrastructure design, while also providing technical support to the in-house team. You will have the chance to work alongside senior management, gaining invaluable experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Highways, drainage, and infrastructure design using Civil 3D, Site 3D, AutoTrack, and MicroDrainage/Flow
✅ Site appraisals, feasibility assessments andamp; flood risk assessments
✅ SuDS andamp; foul/surface water drainage design and hydraulic modeling
✅ Earthworks modeling andamp; contract management
✅ Highways design (S38 / 184 / 278) andamp; vehicle swept path assessments
✅ Utility assessments andamp; impact negotiations (C3 andamp; C4 estimates)
✅ Preparing, reviewing, and issuing detailed design drawings
✅ Liaising with clients, professional teams, Local Authorities andamp; contractors

What We''re Looking For:

- CAD qualification or relevant engineering background
- Experience in a civil engineering design consultancy
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Site 3D, AutoTrack, and MicroDrainage/Flow
- Strong self-motivation, ability to work independently andamp; manage technical approvals
- Understanding of UK design principles (MfS, DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, SuDS Manual)
- Excellent communication skills - both written andamp; verbal
