Housing Support Worker (Young Persons Service) LOCATION: Separate roles in Cheltenham and Gloucester SALARY: £12.00 - £14.00 per hour HOURS: 37.5 hours per week (Incl. some evenings and weekends) START DATE: ASAP DURATION: Temp to Perm Overview: BRC are working with a well-established housing association who provide supported housing to various vulnerable client groups across the UK. Two vacancies have arisen in their specialist young person services in Cheltenham and Gloucester. The roles involves working in supported accommodation, providing housing-based support to young people aged 16-24. Role Responsibilities: Responsible for key-working a caseload of young people. Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs, potential risks and agree levels of support and actions to professional standards. Support young people with benefits applications such as UC and PIP. Preparing young people to maintain their own tenancies and to develop the skills necessary for independent living. Supporting young people with the move-on process, helping them with housing applications etc. Support young people to access other services including CMHT, substance misuse agencies and/or work in partnership with other agencies as part of the support planning process. Support young people to maintain activities including but not limited to education, employment, training, informal accreditation and volunteering opportunities.
