Independent Reviewing OfficerIslington 300/day Start date: ASAPFull time: Mon - Fri - 36/hrs a week Hatched Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities in the Camden area and we are looking for a Independent Reviewing Officer. As a member of the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance team you may hold a diverse caseload that will include mainly children looked after and some child protection cases. You will also be asked to contribute to auditing activity across the service, which will be an integral part of the role. You will need to possess excellent chairing skills, to confidently manage difficult meetings whilst ensuring the participation of children and young people and their parents; have a keen eye for scrutiny, auditing, attention to detail and good report writing skills. The successful applicant will be able to ensure effective decisions are made for Children Looked After and Children with a Child Protection Plan and monitor those decisions in line with Working Together and the Care Placement, Planning and Review Regulations. The successful applicant will need extensive knowledge of The Care Planning, Placement and Case Review Regulations, 2010, the IRO Handbook, Working Together to Safeguard Children and London Child Protection Procedures, and be expected to ensure that high quality services are being delivered to children, providing constructive challenge where needed.Our vision for the service is that children and young people are safe, can overcome ..... full job details .....
