The Role
This English ECT position offers the opportunity to take full responsibility for your own class from day one while benefiting from a structured induction programme. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons, monitor student progress, and adapt teaching strategies to support all learners. As a valued member of the English department, you will contribute to curriculum development, attend training sessions, and engage in wider school activities.
 
The Candidate
The school is looking for a passionate and motivated English ECT who is eager to develop their teaching skills in a high-performing environment. You should have:
 

- A degree in English or a related subject
- QTS (or be on track to achieve it by September 2025)
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and contributing to school life

- Observation and feedback sessions: Structured classroom observations with detailed feedback from your mentor and school leadership.

- Workload management strategies: Guidance on lesson planning, marking, and time management to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Regular reflection and self-assessment: Opportunities to review and refine your teaching practice through self-evaluation and mentor discussions.
