Their fundamental principles revolve around trying to keep families together. They create a nurturing and supportive environment where parents can safely and adequately exhibit their parenting capabilities as mandated by the court or local authorities.They facilitate comprehensive and detailed parenting assessments to provide parents with opportunities to learn and engage in change to build upon their parenting capacity. Their assessments are conducted between 12 and 16 weeks. They facilitate specialist parenting assessments such as PAMS, Parent Assess and provide training to the team to facilitate these specialist assessments. Their assessments are grounded in evidence and result in recommendations that prioritise child safety, helping determine the parent''s ability to provide safe care within the community.
