Job Title:- Design Manager Location:- West End Type of Contract:- Full Time FTSE 250 Companies to work for are seeking a Design Coordinator / Manager to join their growing team on a full time basis, where you would be running your own projects varying in typology from commercial, heritage, higher education, lab s and science varying in scale and complexity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design development and coordination process throughout the project from bid/pre-construction through to completion. Responsibilities include but aren t limited to: Reviewing tenders received and identifying scope gaps, design risks, coordination issues Leading design team and coordination meetings between the Conractor''s appointed consultants and design team to manage and monitor the PCSA period as well as through out construction to react to any discoverables on site. Managing client expectations and main point of contact for design issues Managing design change from the client team Checking working drawing packages produced by the design team to ensure completeness Resolving technical issues arising from design development and site during construction Value engineering Promoting strategies for buildability and simplifying construction while maintaining design intent Managing subcontractor design packages and obtaining consultant approval, coordination with other trades where interfaces occur.
