Your New Company

A government organisation in Perth CBD is seeking a senior procurement professional to join their team. This role is being offered on an initial 6-month temporary contract, with a possible extension for the right person. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid on a competitive hourly rate.

Your New Role

As the Principal Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for:

Facilitating, developing and managing complex and high-risk contractsOverseeing procurement planning, contract formation and contract negotiation activitiesDeveloping and implementing procurement and governance frameworksProviding specialist advice and support to stakeholders around procurement processes and contract management frameworksPreparing procurement and contract management performance reports, ensuring compliance with government standardsRepresenting the department in meetings to discuss procurement planning activities/adviceAssisting in the overall management of the procurement team, providing guidance as neededWhat You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered, you will have:

Previous experience in a high-level procurement environment, managing complex contractsPrevious experience working in a procurement role within the government sectorAdvanced communication skills with confidence in handling negotiations and discussing procurement processesAdvanced written communication skills with confidence in preparing complex contractual documentationWhat You'll Get In Return
