Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that promotes thoughtful discussion and active learning.
• Lead exam preparation, including focused revision sessions.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide meaningful feedback to students and parents, supporting academic growth and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and departmental initiatives.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to Religious Education.

What We''re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
• Experience: Proven success teaching RE across secondary key stages.
• Subject Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for fostering critical thinking and understanding of world religions and ethical perspectives.
• Classroom Management: Strong skills in maintaining an engaging and well-ordered learning environment.
• Organisational Skills: Ability to plan and manage full teaching responsibilities independently.
• Commitment to Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
