This role is ideal for an RE Teacher with experience teaching across the secondary key stages, who is ready to take on full teaching responsibilities and make a lasting impact on students'' educational journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that promotes thoughtful discussion and active learning.
- Lead exam preparation, including focused revision sessions.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide meaningful feedback to students and parents, supporting academic growth and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and departmental initiatives.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to Religious Education.
What We''re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
- Experience: Proven success teaching RE across secondary key stages.
- Subject Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for fostering critical thinking and understanding of world religions and ethical perspectives.
- Classroom Management: Strong skills in maintaining an engaging and well-ordered learning environment.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to plan and manage full teaching responsibilities independently.
- Commitment to Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
