Mechanical Technician £45,000GloucesterMC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician that will join a leading business in the power generation sector. As a Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of all mechanical assets.As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for: Maintenance repairs on equipment such as conveyors, boilers, steam turbines etc.Ensuring all routine maintenance is completed and recorded to the plants maintenance management systemReacting and repairing failed equipment around the siteAssisting the Mechanical Engineer by updating, reviewing and modifying the maintenance plans for the plantReporting all of the health, safety and environmental concerns, incidents and near misses to the site reporting systemOther duties as required To be considered for this role you should have: Relevant engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC, NVQ, Apprenticeship)Experience in the Power Generation sector is preferred but not essentialExperience working in demanding and dynamic environmentsExcellent communication skills and the ability to be adaptable and flexibleAbility to work well within a team and independentlyGeneral knowledge of HandS Legislation, Safety rules, Safe working environment and outages What s on offer?
