Job Title: Science Teacher

Supply Desk are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a co-educational secondary school in Medway, rated ''Good'' by Ofsted. This long-term placement is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to join a supportive and dynamic team immediately and stay until the end of the academic year.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics.
• Be responsible for full teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, marking, and assessment.
• Exhibit strong classroom management skills to foster a positive and effective learning environment.
• Focus on Assessment for Learning to ensure and track student progress.
• Teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 Science, with Key Stage 5 experience advantageous but not essential.
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students and inspire a love of science.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.
• Have recent experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels, supported by strong references.
• Be skilled in managing a classroom confidently and positively.
• Provide a CV with a full employment/education history, explaining any employment gaps.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and be registered on the update service (or be willing to complete this process).
• Have the legal right to work in the UK without restrictions.
