Supply Desk is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a school in the Aylesbury area, working with pupils with complex learning needs. The role involves providing tailored support, teaching one-to-one or in small groups across a range of ages. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils build confidence and achieve success along their individual learning pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet a variety of learning styles and needs
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to pupils with special educational needs
• Regularly assess and track pupil progress, adjusting teaching methods to address their unique requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to create a cohesive, inclusive learning environment
• Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and guardians, providing updates on pupilsandrsquo; progress and achievements
• Attend meetings with the SENCO and other professionals to review and discuss pupil needs and development

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a recognised teaching qualification and relevant SEN certification (e.g., PGCE in Special Education)
• Has proven experience working with pupils with special educational needs, ideally within a similar setting
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities
• Exhibits a patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and supporting pupils
