Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are recruiting a Head of Building Control to join the team on a permanent basis. As the Head of Building Control you will be responsible to the Assistant Director (Planning and Transport) for the discharge of the Councils'' responsibilities to ensure that all building work complies with the Building Act, Building Regulations and residual parts of the London Building Acts and other building legislation, the Safety of Sports Grounds Act, Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act and Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order. You will also direct and control the Building Control Service of the Planning and Transport Division and acts as Principal Building Control Adviser to Richmond and Wandsworth Borough Councils. This is an exciting time to join the joint Council and this role will contribute to the continual improvement of the services provided to both Borough''s.
