The Residential Child Care Worker is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children and adolescents in a residential care setting. This role involves supporting the emotional and developmental needs of residents while promoting positive behaviour and social skills. The worker will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans and assist in crisis intervention as needed. Responsibilities Provide direct care and supervision to children and adolescents in a residential setting Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with the treatment team Monitor and document residents'' behaviour, progress, and any significant incidents Facilitate recreational and educational activities to promote social skills and personal development Assist residents in developing daily living skills and coping strategies Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge Qualifications Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Experience working with children and adolescents in a residential or similar setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed care principles CPR and First Aid certification, or the willingness to obtain certification ..... full job details .....
