We are working with an organisation supporting children and families across Birmingham. Our client is looking for a Family Support Worker to join their team. This is an ongoing contract position. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The role is part office and part community based. The key priority for Family Support teams is that children, young people and families are safe and feel safe, which means providing timely, accessible early help and support to ensure they are resilient, independent and confident in their future. Family Support services work with children, young people and families in a multi-agency environment providing early help to identify and address problems before they escalate. General Duties and Responsibilities: In accordance with policies and procedures provide a timely response to the identified needs of children and young people. To act as the lead professional for an allocated case load of children and families. Under the direction of the Team Manager promote and use of the early help assessment and relevant tools to identify the needs of children, young people and their family and to lead the development of an effective multi-agency support plan. To be responsible for a high standard of case recording that is up to date; including use of a common database.
