Job Overview The role is to provide excellent customer service in a traditional public house and hotel. We are looking for a person who is hard working, a team player and willing to help wherever needed, as we are a team of around 10 full-time and 10 part-time staff. Fitting into our team is very important. Whilst some training is provided, we are looking for an experienced person who has worked in pubs/inns as well as or rather than big chain hotels. The person must have a good level of English as the role will involve taking food orders and serving behind the bar. You may also be involved in some reception work if you wish to; entering bookings and checking guests both in and out. Duties Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression. Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations effectively. Take food and drink orders accurately while providing recommendations when needed. Ensure food preparation adheres to safety standards and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and waiting areas. Handle transactions efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for accurate billing. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns promptly. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner during busy periods.
